Proje, SSB (Savunma Sanayi Başkanlığı - Türk Hükümeti) tarafından finanse edildi. Pervane Açısı ve Adım (Hatve) Hesaplama Yazılımı aracını geliştirdik.
Mühendislik mirasımız Ord. Prof. Dr. Ata NUTKU'dan geliyor. Azipod (Elektrikli Gemi Pervanesi) projesindeki ortağım ve danışmanım Prof. Dr. Alican TAKINACI'dır. İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi'nin bir test doğrulama ve geçerlilik havuzu laboratuvarı bulunmaktadır. Dr. Takinacı, İTÜ Test Havuzu'nun kurucu ortaklarından biridir. https://angmdl.itu.edu.tr/
Azipod, deniz ve okyanuslardaki petrol çıkarma platformlarını 10 hava fırtınasında (rüzgarda) +-2 cm hassasiyetle stabil tutan tek mühendislik çözümüdür.
Tasarladığımız sistem, gerçek ölçekli bir model kullanılarak %96'nın üzerinde doğrulukla doğrulanmıştır.
NUMECA FINEMARINE tarafından simüle edilmiştir.
Prof. Dr. Takinacı, Azipod Projesi ve şirketinde %20 hisseye sahiptir; Aydın AYDEMIR, Azipod Projesi ve şirketinde %20 hisseye sahiptir. Girişim Sermayesi Yatırımcısı, Azipod Projesi ve şirketinde %60 hisseye sahiptir.
Örnek 1-) 1 megawatt Azipod'un satış maliyeti yaklaşık 1.000.000 (+-%2) Euro'dur. TCG Anadolu (Sedef Tersanesi LPD Amfibi Çıkarma Gemisi ve Havuzu) (İspanya SPS Juan Carlos I (L-61)'in kardeş gemisi) 12,5 megawatt'lık 2 adet Azipod'a sahiptir. Örnek 2-) Toplu yük tipi yolcu gemilerinde; 200-220 metre uzunluğunda, 20-24 metre genişliğinde, 7-9 metre su çekimi (sualtı kısmı), 22.000-26.000 ton DWT ve 16-18 knot hızında bir gemi için; 10-12 megawatt pervane gücü, 1,1-1,2 meganewton itme kuvveti üreten, 140-160 rpm devirde çalışan, 5,8-6,2 metre çapında, 0,6-0,75 hatveli ve 5-6 kanatlı bir azipod pervanesi kullanılmaktadır. Fiyatı 10.000.000 Euro - 12.000.000 Euro arasındadır.
Özetle, Azipod projesi yatırım amortismanı, toplam 20 megavat Azipod'un 2 adet büyük hacimli gemi için satılmasıyla 6-10 ay içinde kendini amorti etmektedir (yatırım getirisi). Azipod'un megavat başına fabrika üretim maliyeti 350.000 Euro - 500.000 Euro arasındadır. Net kar marjı %100 ile %180 arasındadır.

In 2010, we designed Türkiye's first CPP (Controlled Propeller Drive) system at Milper Propellers.

The project was funded by the SSB (Defense Industry Presidency - Turkish Government). We developed the Propeller Angle Pitch Calculation Software tool.
Our engineering legacy comes from Ord. Prof. Dr. Ata NUTKU. My project partner and mentor for Azipod (Electric Ship Propeller) is Prof. Dr. Alican TAKINACI. Azipod is the only engineering solution that keeps oil extraction platforms in the sea and ocean stable with a precision of +-2cm in 10 weather storms (winds).
The system we designed has been validated with over 96% accuracy using a real-life scale model.
It has been previously simulated by NUMECA FINE MARINE.
Dr. Takinacı holds a 20% stake in the Azipod Project and company; Aydın AYDEMIR holds a 20% stake in the Azipod Project and company.
The Venture Capital Investor holds a 60% stake in the Azipod Project and company.
Example 1-) 1 megawatt Azipod Sales Cost for approximately 1'000'000 (+-%2) Euros. TCG Anadolu (Sedef Shipyard LPD Amphibious Landing Ship with Pool) (Brother&Sister of Spain SPS Juan Carlos I (L-61)) has 2 units of 12.5 Megawatt Azipods. Example 2-) In bulk type cruise ships; for a length of 200m-220m, a width of 20m-24m, a draft (underwater part) of 7-9m, a DWT of 22,000-26,000 tons, and a speed of 16-18 knots; an azipod propeller is used, producing 10-12 megawatts of propeller power, 1.1-1.2 meganewtons of thrust, operating at 140rpm-160rpm, with a diameter of 5.8m-6.2m, a pitch of 0.6-0.75, and 5-6 blades. The price is 10,000,000 Euros - 12,000,000 Euros.
In shortly, Azipod project investment amortisman pays for itself (returns on investment) within 6-10 months of production when a total of 20 Megawatts of Azipods are sold for 2 bulk-type vessels. Factory manufactuing cost per megawatt of Azipod is 350'000 Euro - 500'000 Euros. Clear (Net) Profit margin is between 100% and 180%.
